The photo gallery updates continue, this time with posters, stills, on-set pictures and HD screen captures of Rebecca Ferguson in The Greatest Showman. She portrayed the world-famous opera singer Jenny Lind, also known as the “Swedish Nightingale”. She did a great job in the small screen time she had, and the lip-syncing to Never Enough is simply stunning. Click on the small previews below to see all photos in the gallery.
According to multiple sources, Rebecca Ferguson has joined the cast of the P.T. Barnum musical film The Greatest Showman, in which Hugh Jackman, Michelle Williams, Zac Efron and Zendaya are also set to star. Michael Gracey will direct from a script by Michael Arndt, and Ferguson will star as Swedish opera singer Jenny Lind, who was one of the most highly regarded singers of the 19th century.
The Greatest Showman is an original musical with songs written by Justin Paul and Benj Pasek and is inspired by the life of P.T. Barnum, who created the circus he dubbed “The Greatest Show on Earth.” The biopic focuses on the founder of the well-known traveling Barnum & Bailey Circus. Production is set to begin in the fall, for a Christmas 2017 release.
Such an interesting choice, once again, for Rebecca to play Jenny Lind. We’re already anticipating to see her sing in a musical. There’s no way of predicting what she’ll do next – and we love it!
