However, when Rachel hears that Megan has gone missing, she becomes embroiled in a potentially fatal mystery in trying find out what happened. The Girl on the Train also stars Rebecca Ferguson, Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Edgar Ramirez, Allison Janney and Lisa Kudrow. Tate Taylor directed the film, which is set to be released by Universal on October 7.

According to The Wrap, Universal and Working Title have set October 13, 2017 as the date for the thriller The Snowman, co-starring Michael Fassbender and Rebecca Ferguson. The movie, based on Jo Nesbø’s global best-seller, centers on Harry Hole, an elite crime squad’s lead detective who investigates the disappearance of a victim on the first snow of winter, and fears an elusive serial killer may be active again. He teams with a brilliant recruit (Ferguson) to connect decades-old cold cases to the brutal new one. Production begins January 18 on the film under the direction of Tomas Alfredson (Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy). So excited for Rebecca to be a part of this film, are you?

The nominees for the 2016 Critics’ Choice Awards have been revealed – and Rebecca Ferguson received a nomination for “Best Actress in an Action Movie” for her role as Ilsa Faust in Mission: Impossible Rogue Nation! The film was also nominated for “Best Action Movie”, and Tom Cruise got one for “Best Actor in an Action Movie.” The awards will be handed out in January, next year, and Rebecca will battle with Emily Blunt (Sicario), Bryce Dallas Howard (Jurassic World), Jennifer Lawrence (The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 2) and Charlize Theron (Mad Max: Fury Road) for the win. A big congrats to Rebecca for being nominated!
According to Showbiz 411, the contract for Rebecca Ferguson is “signed, sealed and delivered” – which means that Ilsa Faust will get back into action in Mission: Impossible 6! Ferguson is also the first leading lady to appear in more than one M:I film (other than Michelle Monaghan’s small cameo in Ghost Protocol), which further proves how much everyone — audiences, the studio, Cruise, et al. — loves her.
Neither Paramount nor Ferguson’s rep have confirmed her return for the sequel, says Screen Crush. It begins production next August for a 2017 release. Ferguson is in high-demand right now thanks to Rogue Nation; she’s appearing next opposite Emily Blunt in the thriller The Girl on the Train and with Michael Fassbender in The Snowman. She’s also been rumored for a part in Ridley Scott’s Alien: Covenant.
