“Ja må hon leva, ja må hon leva, ja må hon leva uti hundrade år!” Today is Rebecca Ferguson’s birthday, so the Swedish birthday song you just read is right where it should be. All the best wishes to Rebecca on her day – hope you spend it with loved ones! To celebrate this day, I have made some small changes to the layout here at Rebecca Ferguson Fan. Hope you’ll like it!
Another new film for Rebecca Ferguson has been revealed, as she’s set to take on the lead role in the biopic The Lady and the Panda. Based on the story of Ruth Harkness, a New York society lady who traveled to Tibet to search for the mythical bear that was said to live high up in the mountains. Her life was depicted in 2005 in the book by the same name by Vicki Constantine Croke. Harkness, who lived between 1900 and 1947, brought a panda back to the US along with her. No director or writer for the project was specified by the Swedish news outlet HD.se.
“I’ve always dreamed of traveling to Tibet and China, and we will film the entire movie in both countries. It feels really cool”, Rebecca told TT. She will shoot the movie at the same time as The Greatest Showman starts rolling, where she’ll portray (in a likely small role) Swedish singer Jenny Lind. Does The Lady and the Panda sound like a great role for Rebecca or what?!
We finally have the first picture of Rebecca Ferguson on the set of Life, thanks to her friend Olof Erlandsson. In the image, posted on Olof’s Instagram, we see him standing between the main stars Jake Gyllenhaal and Ferguson. Hopefully we’ll get to see more from this interesting film, centering around an international space crew discovers life on Mars, soon. Life, directed by Daniel Espinosa and also co-starring Ryan Reynolds, is scheduled for release this coming May!
Today is October 7, which means that The Girl on the Train is finally released in theaters nationwide! The highly-anticipated thriller, based on the best-selling book by Paula Hawkins, tells the story of Rachel, devastated by her recent divorce, and spending her daily commute fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple who live in a house that her train passes every day. Until one morning when she sees something shocking happen there and becomes entangled in the mystery that unfolds. The film has been met with mixed reviews, but Emily Blunt has been getting rave reviews for her portrayal of Rachel, and the rest of the cast (including Rebecca Ferguson!) has received some fine words as well. Be sure to check it out at your local cinema this weekend! For more The Girl on the Train, see pictures in our photo gallery and several clips in the video archive.
As we’re only one day away from the release of The Girl on the Train (!), a couple of additional production stills from the film have been added to our photo gallery. Rebecca Ferguson stars as Anna Watson, alongside Emily Blunt (getting tons of praise for her performance), Haley Bennett, Justin Theroux, Luke Evans, Allison Janney and Laura Prepon.
