Leto, Evans to Join ‘The Girl on the Train’ Cast

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Jared Leto and Chris Evans are in talks to join the high-wattage cast of The Girl on the Train, DreamWorks’ adaptation of the Paula Hawkins best-seller.

Emily Blunt, Rebecca Ferguson and Haley Bennett are already on board the project, which centers on Rachel (Blunt), a woman who’s jobless and an alcoholic and who spends her daily train ride fantasizing about the seemingly perfect couple living in a house that she passes. After coming home one night covered in blood and unable to remember much from a blackout drinking episode, she begins to realize that she may have witnessed or been involved in a crime.

Ferguson is playing Anna, the former mistress and current wife of Rachel’s ex-husband. Bennett is set to play Megan, a married neighbor with whom Rachel becomes obsessed. Evans would play Tom, the ex-husband, and Leto would play the neighbor’s husband, but sources say one stumbling block to an eventual deal is scheduling for both actors.

Tate Taylor is directing the project, which has a script by Erin Cressida Wilson. The Girl on the Train is scheduled to start filming later this Fall for a 2016 release.

Screen Captures from ‘Hercules’

I have added high-definition screen captures from the 2014 action movie Hercules, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson as the titular half-God. Rebecca Ferguson played the princess Ergenia, asking Hercules to help save her son and city. While the movie is just the popcorn-flick you’d expect from The Rock and director Brett Ratner, it has its enjoyable moments and Rebecca lights up the screen everytime she’s on.

Screen Captures from ‘En Enkel Till Antibes’

Another set of screen captures have been added to our photo gallery, this time from the Swedish film En Enkel Till Antibes (“A One-Way Trip to Antibes”). Rebecca played Maria, the caretaker of George, who steals money from him and plots to get the money when he sells his house. It was her “comeback” movie, after being away from the spotlight for about five years, and she received terrific reviews for her performance. Paramount Buys ‘Florence Foster Jenkins’

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Paramount has nabbed Stephen Frears’ Florence Foster Jenkins starring Meryl Streep, Hugh Grant and Rebecca Ferguson. Promo footage for the project screened to buyers Friday at the ongoing Toronto International Film Festival. The Pathe and BBC film, now in post-production, is helmed by Frears from a screenplay by Nicholas Martin. Paramount will distribute the film in the States, with a source saying the studio plans to release it in 2016.

The project is the true story of Florence Foster Jenkins (Streep), a New York heiress and socialite who pursued her dream of becoming a great opera singer. The voice she heard in her head was beautiful, but to everyone else it was hilariously awful. Her “husband” and manager, St. Clair Bayfield (Grant), an aristocratic English actor, was determined to protect his beloved Florence from the truth. But when Florence decided to give a public concert at Carnegie Hall in 1944, St. Clair knew he faced his greatest challenge.

Rebecca Ferguson Rumored for Captain Marvel!

According to Heroic Hollywood, Rebecca Ferguson is at the top of Marvel’s list to play Captain Marvel, in their first female-centric superhero movie. Rumors have previously linked Emily Blunt (who’ll next star in The Girl On The Train opposite Ferguson) to the part. The site also says that Rebecca might’ve withdrawn from consideration for the female lead in Gambit, potentially to pursue bigger opportunities, like her own Marvel franchise. More on this (exciting rumor!) when available.

Screen Captures from the Swedish film ‘Vi’

I have added screen captures from the Swedish movie Vi (translated We in English), released in 2013. The film is a story of Ida and Krister. It’s about a relationship that goes to hell. They are both crazy in love but manage to strangle the supply of oxygen and adapt to each other in a way that will lead to catastrophic consequences. Rebecca Ferguson (in a great performance) plays Linda, the best friend of the main character Ida.
